CH Homesteader's
Summertime Reign "Maddie"
15 Best in Shows, 78 group firsts, number one GSP
and number two
sporting dog in 2001, All Systems. Multiple Specialty show winner was shown
by Brian Still, Rebecca Carner, and on the odd occasion, by Nancy.
At the much celebrated Morris and Essex show, Maddie not only won the sporting group, but stood with the Kerry and the Bichon as one of the last
three considered for Best in Show. She exudes soundness, exemplary type,
effortless movement and sound condition. Her eyes are dark brown, her tail
set is perfect, and her effortless ground covering movement wastes no motion.
She is at the top of the allowable size for bitches, giving her the power and
nobility--both earmarks of our standard.
She finished her championship shown by her breeder/owner at eight months of
age, and when moved up the next show, she won BOB over several top ten
specials, going on to a group second to the best in show selection for the
day. We put her away until she was almost two. The rest is history. We thank
the judges who awarded her over her two years of showing. It has been a great
career for a dog that has always lived at home and has never been on an
airplane.
We especially thank Brian and Rebecca for their faith, fortitude, patience,
dignity, and most of all, their friendship. Thanks especially to breeder
judges like Rita Bell, James Burns and Betsy Yates who have singled her out
and sent her on. |

CH Homesteader's
Summertime Reign "Maddie" |
| To fifteen different Best in Show judges goes our homage,
and to the multitude of judges who have awarded her breeds and group firsts
that sent us on to Bests, we thank you. It was a great ride. See you in the
ring. Maddie expects her first litter August 10, 2002. That, after all, is
what it is all about. Nancy C. Campbell, Homesteader Kennels. |
